I went a little crazy diving into winter cocktail recipe ideas, so I figured I’d share some of my findings with you in case you want to create your own cozy winter cocktails this holiday season. Even if you’re not an alcohol-drinker, there are A LOT of great holiday drink recipes on this list that can be made without adding the alcohol to create more family-friendly versions.
There are hot cocktails.
There are Cold cocktails.
There’s cider, there’s eggnog, there’s cranberry, and there’s even butterbeer!
I just love the cozy holiday stuff.
There are so many, guys. I really went a little overboard obsessing on this one. I’m not even a big drinker, but I think I’m in withdrawals from last year when I couldn’t really get into the holidays like I normally would. Because Covid. Thanks, 2020. Speaking of 2020, I made a list of all the stuff that happened that year. It feels like a work of fiction. Yet… it is not. We’re living in a weird timeline, guys.
I did put together an outdoor winter party a while ago though and ended up using it as a little bit of a blueprint to throw an outdoor Halloween party for my younger siblings last year since they couldn’t do trick ‘r treating. I put all the ideas for that Halloween party up here if you want some *inspiration*.
Winter and Autumn Drink Ideas
This is technically a list of “winter” cocktails, but I’m also including some recipes for autumn-themed and Halloween-themed drinks. Close enough, right?
There’s also a fun little list of 25 ways to get in the fall mood here and 24 gift ideas that don’t come in a box here!
Going back to the cocktail recipes! Yes, there are actually 91 autumn and winter cocktail recipes included in this list. Yes, that’s too many. Yes, they look amazing. Yes, I want to make them all. No, I am not rich enough to buy that much alcohol.
But still – The skill! The pizazz! The aesthetic! A girl can dream.
There are several videos included that walk you through creating the winter-themed cocktails. I highly recommend checking out the videos because not only do you get helpful instructions on how to make the drinks, but many of the creators also give you a rundown on the details of why you add each of the ingredients, how to flavors work together, and other interesting details. It’s pretty interesting stuff even if you’re not a bartender.
One of the cool things about the extra explanation provided in some of the recipe videos is that you can then use your new knowledge to come up with your own unique winter drink ideas!
There are also a couple of larger lists of cocktail recipes at the end of the post if you’re looking to scroll through lots of options more quickly than a video allows. The videos are super-helpful though, just sayin’.
